Battle In Seattle: GreenRoots Activism

I participated in the Battle In Seattle seven years ago. Now they're re-creating scenes for a film on the anti-WTO protest that served notice the public was not going to take globalization and its greedy cousins lying down. Let's hope the film gets it right and tells how many corporate-kingpin threads first gained public notoriety during the protest. Many of the foundations of today's green movement, from global warming to seed patents, were just gaining widespread attention when the "Battle" hit. It wasn't just grassroots, it was green-roots.

They're saying Charlize Theron "disrobed" for one scene. I wasn't around any disrobing back in the day, but if it gets folks to the theaters for a history lesson in the truth, more power to her!
